Kofradia Basque Seafood embodies the union of the fishermen's guilds of Gipuzkoa and Bizkaia to build, together, a common project in service to the sea and the people who work at sea.
Behind Kofradia are the people, the ports, and the organizations that have lived from and for the sea for generations. It's a project driven by Hazilur, Opegui, and Opescaya, with the active collaboration of the fishermen's guilds of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa.
This collective effort also has the support of public institutions, through European Funds and the Basque Government (through the financial promotion company Hazilur), reinforcing a strategic initiative for the fishing sector and for the future of our coast.
With three operational headquarters in Ondarroa, Bermeo and Getaria, Kofradia is built from the territory, from the ports and from real knowledge of fishing and its markets.
